Logistics Controller / Co-ordinator - South Africa

Overview / Purpose of the job: To operate Logistics sufficiently. Make sure the correct stock goes to the correct Customer as per orders. Tracking of deliveries and collections Min Requirements: MS Office proficient 3-5 years relevant logistics/manufacturing/warehouse experience Grade 12 relevant tertiary qualification advantageous Responsibilities: Physical work involved i.e. Delivering and collection of shipments within around the client site, loading of shipment Daily running of both the Operational and Admin responsibilities of the In-house site Generating waybills on Online for all shipment Managing of client roll-outs Manage and assist with all queries related to your client’s consignments, following up with the transporters on deliveries and collection. Daily liaison with Customer Service agents, Sales team and Transporter is absolutely critical in the smooth running of an In-house operation, thus commitment to communicating daily with them, will ensure that the Service to the client is delivered Ensure cargo to be delivered has the correct documentation Checking cargo against a specific invoice and matching up orders. Sign for receipt of cargo for returns and internal deliveries. Capturing of waybills onto transporter website Tracking of cargo Generate and print waybills and stickers for all cargo to be dispatched. Handling and resolving all invoices and waybill related queries. Ensure that all goods are packed according to the correct destinations and up to correct standards. Sorting of waybills/invoices according to the route requirements. Identifying cargo in terms of damages, shortages, type and verifying waybills/invoices against cargo stickers Assist with all delivery or collection queries. Conduct all off-loading of in-house cargo received and liaise with Senior Stock Controller and buyer. Directing parcels and sorting into destination area Checking and scanning of parcels into the transporter system by waybill/invoices and data capturing Verifying and follow up for signed invoices/Waybills from Transporter. Physical work involved i.e. Delivering and collection of shipments within around the client site, loading of shipment Daily running of both the Operational and Admin responsibilities of the In- house site Generating waybills on Online for all shipment Managing of client roll-outs Manage and assist with all queries related to your client’s consignments, following up with the transporters on deliveries and collection. Housekeeping Ensure that all documentation is in order and make sure all documentation is handed over to warehouse clerk Make sure working area is always clean and up to standard Safety Ensure that all safety standards are adhered to at all timers General Perform any other duties or responsibilities of a similar nature that may be allocated by the Logistics Manager from time to time of a temporary/permanent nature Apply Now
