A vacancy has risen for a Machine Operator in the Production Department at PIMMS Group. Applications are invited from Suitably qualified and responsible person to fill the above-mentioned position. Operates plastic production machine including, machine running adjustments when required by manufacturing process, visual checking trimming and packing of products. Assisting with mould changes, Complete production documentation. Mass measuring and issuing of raw material including pigments to pre-determined quantities. Coordinate and perform machine operational functions. Ensure that product comply with standards, including Master samples. Pack, count, trim products from the production line. Take responsibility during machine stoppages or tool breakdowns to implement corrective actions or repair or rescheduling of production during day or nightshift in collaboration with the production manager. Implement and Maintain measures for loss control, time inefficiencies, theft and damage to machines and other company property. Relieve other operators on different machines if requested. Mix material and fill machine hopper if requested. Complete the 6s assessment monthly. Grade 12/N3 (Math's & English) Ability to communicate, read and write in English 2-3 years Injection Moulding machine operator experience Basic Injection Moulding certificate Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Good physical stamina and keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Ability to participate in a production team, leading by example attitude is essential. Must be able to take part in Operational Excellence improvement initiatives. Must be willing to accept any reasonable instruction outside abovementioned job scope. Must be able to work shifts as determine by the company shift policy. Must be to work overtime or extended hours when required. The remuneration package will be in accordance with the PIMMS Group schedule of salaries
