Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with buyers/retailers on seasonal ranges.
Build and nurture relationships with retail buyers and decision-makers. Understand their business models, target audience, and preferences.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor market trends and innovations to suggest novel fabrics that align with design visions and sustainability goals.
Analyze inventory levels and demand forecasts to optimize stock and reduce wastage.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers, working together to ensure a smooth supply process.

Qualifications:

Tertiary Education in Fashion Merchandising, Textiles or a related field preferred
Min 3-5 years experience in merchandising within the clothing industry.
Familiarity with fabrics, their properties, and production processes.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
