Remuneration: R8200.00 starting salary, dependent on skill set, knowledge, and experience, they are willing to adjust the remuneration package Applicants from the Automotive Industry who have similar experience are welcome to apply for this vacancy. Purpose Of The Job: One of the worlds most respected Aircraft Manufacturers (Light Aviation), require a knowledgeable and experienced Spray Shop Parts Preparation, to join their amazing Team Key Responsibilities: Execute plan as per daily schedule and ensure consumables needed is ordered prior to start of daily tasks Preparing aircraft components for paint application by means of masking, sanding, buffing and spot priming. Body filling and defect repair methods may also be used from time to time Inspect all components for any damages or defects before and after the preparation process to ensure that there are no room for failures post part preparation Remove scratches, swirl marks, and other imperfections from the prepared surfaces and ensure compliance within Sling Aircrafts quality standards Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks Ensure adherence and completion of traceability document upon start and completion of any component Keep all equipment and areas clean Ensure all Hazardous waste (solid and liquid) is stored and handled correctly To maintain and uphold a high level of housekeeping in accordance with the company’s 5s policy Ad-hoc tasks and duties may be assigned to you from time to time by a member of Spray Shop management Essential Requirements: Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write and speak the language The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a year of hands-on experience and be able to produce a high quality of workmanship in relation to the preparation process and all other supporting processes from start to finish Experience and understanding of the various preparation methods/techniques such as rotary & manual flatting, types of flatting papers and inspection criteria Must be Flexible, adaptable and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of the preparation process.
