My client in the Financial Services sector is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out accounting and administrative duties as well as ensuring that all work is accurately completed in a timely manner. Check and update the supplier database to make sure all information is correct and complete, including BEE status. Make sure that approvals and invoices are properly checked and authorized based on the right level of permission. Use the correct accounts when processing invoices, pay cards, and credit cards in our system. Apply the right VAT to invoices and make sure they meet SARS requirements. Post accounts payable batches every week. Prepare and submit reconciliations of what we owe to suppliers. Pay invoices on time as agreed. Follow up quickly on any questions or issues about accounts payable. Send payment notifications to suppliers after we've paid them. Organize and file all invoices and documents after payments are made. Analyse the list of what we owe to suppliers each month. Process refunds promptly. Help with checking our financial records during the month and at the end of the month. Keep our audit documents up to the required standard. Record transactions between different parts of our company. Report our bank balances every week. Handle any extra tasks assigned to you. Diploma or Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting. 5 years work experience in a similar role.
