DAYBREAK FOODS requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate that will ensure the efficient and accurate management of the Daybreak's accounts payable processes. This incumbent will oversee the timely processing of invoices, optimizing all payment workflows, will be required to maintain strong vendor relationships, and implement effective controls. The Accounts Payable Manager plays a key role in enhancing financial performance by enforcing policies, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance, ultimately contributing to the Daybreak's overall financial health and operational success. Invoice Processing: Supervising the timely and accurate processing of invoices. Verifying that invoices are properly coded and approved before processing for payment. Payment Processing : Ensuring that payments are made on time and in accordance with company policies. Managing electronic payment systems and maintaining relationships with vendors. Vendor Management : Negotiating payment terms with vendors to optimize cash flow. Resolving any issues or discrepancies with vendors regarding invoices or payments. Policy Compliance : Enforcing and updating accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company regulations. Team Supervision : Leading and managing a team of accounts payable professionals. Providing training and guidance to team members on best practices and procedures. Expense Management : Monitoring and controlling expenses related to accounts payable processes. Implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Record Keeping : Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions. Ensuring proper documentation for audits and compliance purposes. Reporting : Generating regular reports on accounts payable activities, cash flow, and other relevant metrics. Analyzing data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement Collaboration : Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Technology Integration : Evaluating and implementing accounts payable automation technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Risk Management : Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with accounts payable processes. Implementing internal controls to prevent fraud and errors. Continuous Improvement : Continuously assessing and improving accounts payable processes to enhance overall effectiveness. Staying updated on industry best practices and incorporating them into the workflow. Grade 12 (Matric) Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or any related field At least 5 years financial management / treasury experience at a supervisory or mid-management level FMCG/Agriculture industry experience will be an added advantage.
