Chief Financial Officer B Com Honours with auditing experience / CA (SA)
1. Accounting / Financial
Control the full accounting and financial function including preparation of financial reports, cash flow forecasts, control of debtors, VAT and other Tax related returns. Ensure compliance of submission of all other financial related statutory returns including RMA (COIDA). Monitor and evaluate cash flow and debtors and implement strategies to minimise negative impacts.
2. Payroll
Oversee both wages and salaried employees payrolls using the Accyss payroll software. Ensure all statutory and related returns e.g. UIF, SDL, PAYE, Medical Aid, Union subscription returns are submitted, noting that the Company falls under the Bargaining Council for the Metal Industry.
Provide a support service to the Human Resources Manager in ensuring that the Employment Equity reports are submitted on time and that the financial and payroll information is accurate.
Enhance payroll system by investigating and introducing "add on" modules to facilitate improved reporting.
3. Procurement
Coordinate all purchasing functions with direct control over the Procurement Stores. Identify areas of improvement including stock holdings, maintaining records of preferred suppliers, and principles of best practices.
4. Cost Analysis
In conjunction with operations develop meaningful cost analyses.
5. Information Technology
To coordinate and liaise with both consultants and internal users on systems and operations of the various software programmes noting that the Company currently utilises the Syspro financial system as well as MS-Office, whereas manufacturing recently introduced Synchro. Adopt a "continual improvement" approach to all IT related matters as well as providing support and training for the users.
6. BBBEE
Take accountability of BBBEE initiatives through accurate record keeping, liaising with consultants and identifying areas where the best return on investments can be achieved.
7. General
Manage, a small team of all office administration, payroll, financial, stores and internal sales personnel. Staff compliment of +- 15 employees. Actively involved as Management Representative on ISO 9001. Directly involved with manufacturing process and productivity measurement.
Salary: +- R 2 million p/a negotiable
Situated on the East Rand, a well established and progressive manufacturing Company is looking for a dynamic self motivated Chief Financial Officer, to take control of all key financial, administrative and IT functions.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive the successful candidate should ideally have 8 10 years financial / accounting background in a manufacturing environment.
