Mo's Crib is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Cost Accountant and Bookkeeper to manage and optimize our financial operations. This role involves product costing, daily reconciliations, and bank statement allocations, as well as maintaining accurate records of receipts and transactions. The successful candidate will ensure the company is compliant with SARS regulations, manage monthly budgets, and oversee procurement and creation of supplier purchase orders. The role supports our accounting firm by handling routine accounting tasks and providing accurate financial data for management decisions. Product Costing: Accurately calculate and track the costs associated with our products, ensuring all expenses are accounted for. Daily Reconciliations and Allocations: Manage daily bank reconciliations and allocate transactions accurately to the correct accounts. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including receipts and other necessary documentation. SARS Compliance: Ensure all SARS-related matters, including VAT and other filings, are up-to-date and compliant. Monthly Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of monthly budgets, monitoring actual performance against the budget. Procurement and Purchase Orders: Manage the procurement process, including creating and processing supplier purchase orders. Financial Support: Provide financial data and support to the management team and our external accounting firm. Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment. Other Minimum Requirements: Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge: Understanding of Financial Accounting, SARS regulations, compliance Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Location: Candidates based in Pretoria East will be preferred Mobile: Candidates who are mobile will be preferred Between R12 000 – 15 000pm
