Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and innovative Curator of Public Programmes to enhance guest experiences through curated events and activities. The Curator will develop and manage a variety of engaging programmes that showcase the hotel's culture, history, and local attractions, ensuring memorable stays for our guests. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute a comprehensive calendar of public programmes and events that align with the hotel's brand and appeal to diverse guest interests - Collaborate with internal departments, local businesses, artists, and cultural institutions to create unique experiences such as art exhibitions, culinary events, wellness workshops, and guided tours - Research and propose thematic concepts and activities that reflect the hotel's heritage, location, and cultural significance - Coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, staffing, budget management, and marketing efforts to promote programmes effectively - Ensure seamless execution of programmes, including setup, guest registration, and post-event evaluations to measure success and gather feedback - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, local attractions, and cultural happenings to enhance programme offerings and guest satisfaction - Act as a hotel ambassador during events, fostering positive relationships with guests and stakeholders to promote the hotel's public programme initiatives - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, social media content, and press releases to highlight upcoming events Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Proven experience in event planning, programme development, or guest experience management within the hospitality industry - Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners - Creative thinking and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences through innovative programming - Knowledge of local culture, attractions, and community networks to leverage partnerships and enhance programme offerings - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in luxury hotel environments or boutique hotels - Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly event practices - Multilingual skills and international cultural awareness - Experience in curating art exhibitions, culinary experiences, or wellness programmes MR - MR - Monthly
