Duties & Responsibilities MISSION The Drivers primary mission is the efficient collection and delivery of any documents, mail, parts and other ad hoc items. RESOURCES Delivery bakkie Uniform and Protective Wear Cell phone Delivery and collection book Mail/Production bags Vehicle check list and accident/incident books PERFORMANCE CRITERIA Efficient delivery and collection of required items and documents. Driver tracking report. Cleanliness of vehicle and presentation of driver Daily checking of vehicle condition – cleanliness, maintenance and tyres Binning of parts Ad hoc parts and admin duties RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB CONTENT Ensure starting times are known and adhered to. Keep company image as top priority. Dress in company uniform with all relevant safety wear. Reflective jacket to be worn at all times when at customer plants. Vehicle pre-check to be done in the check list book provided, 15 minutes before departing for daily duties and any defects to be reported to Branch Manager. Vehicle pre-check form to be handed in to Branch Manager every Friday morning. Check delivery and collection book details and ensure any directions for collections and/or delivery are known before leaving the Office area. Drive vehicle at all times in a professional and courteous manner. Always wear safety belt to ensure safety and legislation is met. When completed delivery or collection, ensure that the delivery and collection book is signed. The vehicle needs to be washed once a week and diesel needs to be filled as per requirement, and recorded on the diesel sheet, as well as in the Vehicle Inspection book. Keys to be handed into the Branch Manager at the end of the day. Any defects or damage to the vehicle must be reported immediately. (Record on daily check sheet) Any accident/incident (including punctures) are to reported to the Admin Manager immediately and filled in with required details in the book provided for accidents/incidents. Once daily driving duties are completed, bin parts and perform any other administrative duties as required. QUALIFICATION BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE Preferably Grade 12. Preferably basic computer skills At least 4 Years driving experience on a Code 08. PERSONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS Fully literate and conversant in English Energetic and flexible.
