Events Manager - Randburg

Minimum requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Sport, Event and Marketing Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years exp. In event planning and management, within the sports industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sporting codes, their rules, regulations and standards.
  • Proven record of panning and executing sport events.
  • Proficiency in event management software.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of sport events, including venue selection, scheduling, budgeting, logistics, and participant engagement.
  • Work with marketing, sponsorship, and operations teams to align event goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and sponsors for event resources and support.
  • Create event timelines and schedules to meet budget and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with sports organizations and officials to ensure event compliance.
  • Implement marketing strategies to boost event attendance and revenue. Manage event staff, volunteers, and contractors, providing leadership and support throughout
  • Oversee event operations on-site, including setup, signage, registration, security, safety and hospitality services.
  • Assess event outcomes and gather feedback to enhance future planning.
  • Stay updated on sports event trends and technologies to innovate event experiences.
