Executive Housekeeper - Hoedspruit
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping staff, including training and scheduling.
Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Ensure all rooms and lodge facilities are prepared and maintained according to lodge standards.
Implement and maintain inventory and ordering of housekeeping supplies and amenities.
Develop and enforce procedures for cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure efficiency and quality.
Monitor and report on housekeeping budgets and expenses.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards.
Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with other lodge departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Uphold health and safety standards in housekeeping practices and operations.
Train and mentor housekeeping staff on standards, procedures, and guest service expectations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or similar role in a hospitality setting, preferably within a game lodge or luxury resort.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to guest satisfaction.
