Grinding Techniques Pty Ltd is looking for a motivated and well-spoken Exports Administrator to join our sales team at our Johannesburg Exports Department. The Exports Administrator will be responsible for taking and processing international customer orders, whilst developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. You should be able to close sales and meet targets. Handling export shipments from order receipt up to file closure Completion of relevant shipping documents as prescribed by local / international authorities. Co-ordinating the movement of cargo on behalf of clients. Develop and maintain working relationships, networks and partnerships that help achieve business goals. Control expenses by actively monitoring waste within their control. Always ensuring best control of costs and transit on all routes. Provide positive / innovative / effective solutions to clients' needs / problematic situations. Accountable for timeous resolution of outstanding debtors' queries, foreign debtors' queries, creditors reconciliation queries and foreign account queries under their control. Accountable for on time and accurate billing to clients. Making special arrangements / involving the right level of individual to support on critical shipments. Support in after hour monitoring and tracking and tracing with carriers, arranging loadings on weekends or facilitating communication and feedback on weekends as and when may be required. Tracking shipments from collection to collection and arrival. Customer liaison with walk-in and phone-in customers Continuous and proactive customer liaison Processing of Quotes, Sales Orders and Picking Slips on a daily basis. Assist customers with technical product enquiries. The successful applicant must have: At least a Grade 12 3 Years Previous experience in an Exports Administrator Role Outbound call centre or a related sales position experience is necessary 2 years Logistics and Freight Experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Navision (Advantageous) Soft Skills Required (Minimum) Excellent Administration and Organisational Skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent phone and cold calling skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong listening and sales skills.
