Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Finance & Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring robust compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. In this key leadership position, you will oversee the financial management and reporting processes, including the preparation of comprehensive annual budgets, financial statements, and variance analyses. Your expertise will be crucial in managing stock integrity, optimizing cost allocations, and maintaining rigorous financial controls to support business objectives. Prepare and analyze weekly management accounts promptly Develop comprehensive annual budgets (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements) Validate budget variances and provide detailed variance reports Forecast and plan financial activities Ensure stock accuracy through oversight and reconciliation Conduct detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts Allocate costs accurately across the business Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Conduct audits, design control systems, and draft company policies Handle customer, supplier contracts, and banking relations Provide legal advice and ensure legislative compliance Manage financial risk and report on risk issues promptly Drive innovation projects for efficiency and digitalization Lead and motivate teams, manage performance standards Implement disciplinary actions as needed Assist with benchmarking and best practices Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) BCom Accounting / Bcom Law BCom Honours CIMA Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Financial Manager or similar role Extensive experience in activity analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Advanced understanding of accounting regulations and practices. Strong expertise in systems control, organizational management, communication, and process improvement. Proficiency with integrated operational systems. High-level proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word). Familiarity with Accounting Packages such as Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical acumen Professional individual with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Effective time management skills with the ability to work on own initiative.
