Our client is currently seeking a motivated professional to join them as a General Ledger Accountant, this individual will handle general accounting activities within the accounting department. Reporting to the GL Accounting Manager, this goal-oriented, driven, and innovative individual will thrive in a multicultural and highly competitive environment, partnering with various internal customers within finance to ensure the accounting function operates at a level that exceeds expectations. Their Finance Team operates in a vibrant, fast-paced, and demanding performance-based environment where internal and external customers drive results. Ensure entries meet IFRS and US GAAP standard Analyze AP transactions and monthly accruals for accuracy Conduct month-end expense variance analysis and communicate results Reconcile balance sheet accounts per corporate and Blackline guidelines Analyze inter-company balances across currencies Ensure current and valid bank signatories, review bank accounts for allocations. Manage relationships with banks, accounts payable, and Reserve Bank submissions Conduct annual fixed asset verification and manage asset registers for tax Identify control deficiencies, analyze root causes, and drive remediation Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) BCom Accounting CTA CA(SA) Experience: Newly qualified CA(SA) Completed articles within in well recognized audit firm Skills & Competencies: Team player with the ability to manage work activities independently Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with figures Strong planning and organizing skills, proactive mindset, and the ability to prioritize work deliverables in a creative environment Ability to work independently and think quickly in a dynamic, fast-moving environment If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
