An Electric Company is seeking services of a Finance Manager for their Office in Long Meadow - Johannesburg Duties and Responsibility Maintains accounting system. • Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance. • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. • Custody of the group accounting policies and processes, including creating and reviewing policies. • Address and resolve queries related to financial policies, processes, and issue technical opinions for guidance. • Create and monitor annual budgets and forecasts as needed for Head Office legal entities and provide regular updates to senior management. • Ensure accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations. • Oversee and ensure daily and month end accounting for group legal entities that includes P&L, Balance Sheet, AR, AP, IC, Cash Flow are completed timeously to enable timely month-end close and reporting. • Balance sheet management and monthly reconciliations. • Oversee risk management activities. • Treasury management: o Oversee and support administration of bank accounts. o Review of cash flow forecasts and prepare consolidated cash flow forecast report. o Ensure all payments are appropriately supported, reviewed, and signed off before payments are released. • Develop and implement financial strategies that support growth and profitability. The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting as well as financial reporting experience and an in-depth understanding of financial management processes. Chartered Accountant (SA). ESSENTIAL Will be a technical accounting custodian of the company – internal technical advice. Software - ERP systems/Microsoft Office/CaseWare Manage a team of 5 to 10 people Technically competent Draft financial statements Corporate taxes Provisional taxes VAT Dividend tax Reconciliations, general ledger, creditors Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. R 850k to R1 000 000 per annum
