The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the profitability of the division by managing and coordinating the operational financial activities and ensuring adherence to financial and budget requirements and compliance with business policies and procedures. Reporting to the Financial Manager, duties include: Co-ordinating and planning the division's annual budget and forecasts to ensure the division meets its annual financial performance Compiling the division's monthly, management, financial statements and business review reports, clearly indicating deviations to targets and driving investigations and appropriate actions needed to be taken Managing and controlling employment for the division Monitoring divisional performance, identifying and analysing trends and reporting on weekly performance and driving appropriate actions through Operational Managers Managing and driving weekly scorecard meetings to ensure continuous improvement Identifying profitable business opportunities and driving cost saving initiatives in the division Ensuring compliance to financial policies and procedures, internal controls and reducing risk within the division Ensuring that the financial viability of projects within the division is aligned to business objectives by ensuring the return on investment for capex is achieved Managing the financial administrative functions within the division, ensuring compliance with legislation and business policies and procedures and financial controls Engaging, persuading and influencing stakeholders to improve divisional profitability Requirements: CIMA, B.Com (Finance or Accounting) Articles At least 3 years' post articles experience in a financial management role
