Financial Reporting and governance of aspects of South African and Mozambican Subsidiaries (total 3 subsidiaries) This includes: Oversight of preparation of monthly management accounts of subsidiaries Oversight of preparation of Quarterly returns for Stats SA Interaction with auditors Preparation of Annual Financial Statements Annual budget preparation Oversight of taxation matters, including income tax, provisional tax, VAT, etc. Accounting for projects relating to subsidiaries Creditors management Insurance for subsidiaries Core function is to manage the administration of the collection of payments for passenger bookings for -150 000 passengers (R800m – R900m). This includes: Interaction with bankers Receipting cash Cancelling under paid bookings Refunding over payments Flights & hotels Reconciliations relating to these processes Formalise, improve and enhance related processes Ad hoc projects and business enhancements Responsible for managing a department of 5 to 6 staff to achieve the department's goals: 2 – 3 treasury clerks 3 accountants Subsidiaries: Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts for 3 subsidiaries Oversee 3 accountants' preparation of monthly management accounts Prepare related group reporting information Prepare monthly internal financial reports Completion of financial audit Completion of BEE audits Preparation of Annual Financial Statements Annual budget preparation Preparation of tax returns including: Income tax PAYE etc VAT Updating insurance requirements for the subsidiaries Accounting for new projects including new infrastructure projects Management of creditors for subsidiaries Treasury: Formalise, improve and enhance business processes impacting on Treasury Process redesign as required Documentation of existing and new treasury processes Oversee: Receipting (error /query follow up) Walk in Receipting oversee (cash collection and storage) Correspond with Treasury in Geneva relating to month end Reconciliation Direct transfers and Cash Correspond with Stefania relating to Credit card Reconciliations monthly Oversee Transfers (ensure procedures are followed) Reconciliation's oversight: Reconciliations relating to corporate arrangements Float accounts management Oversee refund Process: DTS refunds Bad debt refunds Data trans management (Credit card payment system) Cancellations management Cancellation's report Create Tracking of Bookings within 65 and 45 days respectively Follow up on payments Cancellation's process Oversee Cancellations chasers Oversee manifest Cancellations on Manifest day (clean up under paid bookings on manifest day) Liaise with important high value travel Oversee Hotels, transfers, Shuttles and Insurance reconciliations and payments Hotels Reconciliation Monthly, Correspondence with Hotels to acquire invoices Transfers and Shuttles Reconciliation Monthly Insurance Reconciliation monthly check and send to Geneva Detailed Booking investigations Booking Events analysis Fraud investigations Dispute investigations Irregularities investigations Amendments post cruise date Groups related queries (GRX REPORT) Banking investigations Iveri Back-office system Data trans platform MRSS reports and Bank statement Bank reconciliations Data Provision: Any booking funds related reports (BKINVPA / BI itemised billing) Comparative figure reports for any managers on request Any Process or system complications follow up with Geneva / Naples IT queries raised by Ticketing Treasury system failures (receipting file errors, Refund que errors, DTS to External systems comms delayed / not working) Assist with any Ad hoc tasks which requires assistance from Managerial staff CA(SA) with 1-2 years post article experience within commerce industries Market Related Apply Now
