Reference: Pta000110-VLR-1 We are looking for Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Fire Engineer) for a consulting engineering company based in the Cape Town area. Requirements: B.Tech. /BSc / B Eng. (Mechanical) 3 years consulting experience in building services Responsibilities: Stages 1-6 of a project from inception to concept design, detail design, tender and project management to close out. Type of projects: offices, retail, hospitals, hotels, multi-storey residential, data centers, and warehouses Fire risk analysis Detail design of fire systems and to ensure that the design complies with Regulations, Codes of Practice, statutory requirements, including NFPA, BS, SANS and ASIB. Active and passive fire protection systems. Apply engineering calculations for automatic sprinklers, smoke detection, evacuation systems, smoke ventilation, hydraulic design, gas suppression and other engineering tasks that may be required. Plan, design, organize and control complete projects. Rational fire designs.
