Description Job Title: Fitter and Turner Location: Johannesburg, South Africa Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Fitter and Turner to join our team in Johannesburg. The Fitter and Turner will be responsible for repairing, fitting, assembling, grinding, and shaping metal parts, as well as fabricating components for production machines and other equipment. Key Responsibilities: Repair, fit, assemble, grind, and shape metal parts to precise specifications. Fabricate parts and components for production machines and other equipment. Operate and maintain machinery and tools used in metalworking and fabrication. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate manufacturing. Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with other team members to resolve mechanical issues and improve processes. Adhere to safety standards and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Fitter and Turner or in a similar metalworking role. Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and technical skills. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in metalworking. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
