Reference: E.L002264-AK-1 We invite suitably qualified & experienced candidates to apply for the Group Parts Logistics Supervisor position in the Group Parts Department. This position will be based in Centurion. Minimizing the financial risk to the company in terms of airfreight costs, inventory investment, risk of obsolescence, sourcing the parts on an urgent basis in the most economical way either locally or internationally from Kassel. Duties: Develop through benchmarking, inventory analysis tools together with recommendations for improving them to ensure that improved methods are utilized to control inventory levels for Kassel inventory to budget, service levels and procurement levels to budget, overhead controls and keep airfreight cost to below budget whilst improving and sustaining customer satisfaction. Analyze demand trends for inventory by monitoring daily, weekly, monthly reports to determine corrective measures where necessary to ensure stock holding and availability targets are met by the analysts reporting to this position. Ensure through airfreight management reporting that all urgent airfreight inventories of replacement Parts and Accessories are replenished and managed in accordance with planned inventory holding objectives to ensure continuous stock rotation, meeting of airfreight costs-, inventory holding investment cost - and obsolescence objectives are achieved. Through the use of key performance reports, manage all Supply Analyst dealer back orders daily by checking reports and determining corrective actions to be taken to ensure that parts are secured urgently and that dealer back orders are maintained at target levels. Drive Personnel training and development by setting personnel training objectives to ensure personnel development and advancement to keep abreast with changes within the Group Parts business environment. Conduct Performance Appraisal for staff through the normal appraisal process to ensure individual analyst compliance with performance objectives. Regularly analyze all airfreight, both flash and normal to identify parts trends, reasons for airfreight, costs, and report to management to enable corrective action Through the use of key performance reports, manage all, inventory demand, outstanding supplier orders, service levels and back orders for management on an exception and monthly basis by accessing data from various sources so that informed decisions can be taken to ensure stock is replenished and managed in accordance with agreed targets Monitor and initiate updates of processes in department via process audits to ensure conformance to ISO 9001/VDA 6.1 standards and requirements. Monitor and ensure that all claims against suppliers are placed within the agreed time periods, accompanied by the necessary documentation. Ensure along with Finance that claims are followed up to ensure close out of claims within 3 months to recover monies to the effect of at least 90%. Requirements: Diploma in Business Management/ Logistics or related. 5 Years of inventory/ purchasing related experience. Essentials Knowledge of ISO policies related to ISO 9001 / VDA 6.1 standards Detailed knowledge of IDIS (Inventory Management System) or equivalent system Detailed knowledge of SAP/ Logistics/ Purchasing systems Computer literacy in Ms PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, BI to advanced level and telephone etiquette Understanding of ETKA (Electronic Parts Catalogue System) or equivalent system would be an added advantage. Basic knowledge of EPIS (Electronic Parts Information System) or equivalent system would be an added advantage.
