Our client in the Transport / Telecommunications Industry requires the services of a driven and ambitious Hardware Product Developer to join their team. Key performance areas: Lead the development team that leverages internal initiatives and ensure the seamless integration of hardware and software components. Lead the development, design, and refinement of our camera driver and monitoring systems Evaluate and measure the performance of current devices in use, and compare against market standards and competitors to inform future product development and innovation. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients who may have challenging requirements or feedback. Identify and evaluate new products, alternative products and new configurations, which will affect the growth and sustainability of our hardware solutions. The successful candidate must have: Matric with a B.Sc. degree in IT / Computer Science or a B.Eng. degree Previous Experience as a product lead developer in a corporate environment will be advantageous Must have proven leadership skills; managing and motivating cross-functional teams within hardware, software and the interface of both Must stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, methodologies in hardware design, camera technology, and their practical applications Must be able to interpret and present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner Demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product developments. Proven knowledge of algorithms and solutions (pattern recognition in images and videos) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
