Our client in the Transport / Telecommunications Industry requires the services of an Industrial Engineer with programming experience in SQL and Python. Key performance areas: Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs. Benchmark against industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. Analyse current logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for cost savings Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of software implementation projects. Coordinate with customers to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Develop and implement logistics support plans to meet customer needs. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and manage expectations. Analyse customer contracts and specifications to understand logistics requirements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and customer expectations. Data Accuracy & KPI Management: Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity throughout the system. Develop and Track KPIs to measure logistics performance and project success. Industry Trend Analysis: Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in logistics. Support: Serve as primary point of contact for technical support. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. The successful candidate must have: Matric with a B.Eng. Industrial Engineering degree or a similar tertiary qualifications At least 2-3 years relevant industry experience Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel) Previous experience using Vantage will be advantageous Must be able to oversee and manage software projects Must be a critical thinker and able to make decisions and sound judgements Must have excellent mathematical skills Must have good time management and systems analysis skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport Please note that only short listed candidates will be contacted.
