South Africa's leading Waste Management Firm is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to join their team in JHB. The succesful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategy to maximize value, mitigate risk and deliver cost savings to the business. You will be reporting the CEO of the company and functionally to the Director of Procurement International. In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements: Matric Degree in Supply Chain/ Procurement or equivalent. Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, Especially Excel 5 to 8 years' experience in the management of complex Procurement/ Supply Chain portfolios. Confirmed experience in Procurement, Project Procurement (construction, infrastructure). Expert knowledge of Procurement best practices, Strategic Sourcing, B-BBEE legislation Valid Drivers licence and own vehicle The duties of this position entail (but not limited to): Ensure procurement governance across the EnviroServ Group. Define and implement procurement strategy aligned with company strategy. Effective management of all related resources. Ensure B-BBEE compliance for Procurement. Define, structure and deploy the Procurement and Supply Chain strategy. Drive governance, strategy, and development of the procurement function. Manage all Procurement resources effectively i.e. budget, employees etc. to promote procurement excellence and service. Develop national/ regional supplier base to enable operational requirements and improve efficiencies. Maintain and develop relationships with internal customers, suppliers and strategic partners to ensure the supply of high-quality products and services. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, products, and services to meet company needs. Contribute to risk and opportunity analysis and participate in the development of associated action plans to control them. Ensures effectiveness of the Procurement and Supply Chain process. Responsible for the delivery of key procurement Categories. Provides support for complex negotiations (with suppliers, service providers, and subcontractors). Drive cost savings through Payment terms and Service Level Agreements. Accurate analysis of Procurement transactions to identify spend (CR Spend) trends. Continuous assessment of existing and new contracts. Review RFQ documents for accuracy and completeness. Provide feedback to BU's through P TAC to ensure consistency of Procurement practices, compliance, and transparency. Provide monthly Management Reports. Manage and approve the opening of vendors. Oversee Procurement Audits.
