Job Title: Head of Recoveries

Position Overview: The Head of Recoveries will support the Risk Operations GM in driving the organization's recoveries agenda. This role covers the Late Stage, Legal Book, PWOR, and Debt Counselling portfolios, focusing on defining, implementing, and optimizing a partner, process, and technology roadmap to achieve the organization's financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Agenda Execution: Drive and deliver the Recoveries Operations strategic agenda through the management of external debt collection agency partnerships.
Strategy Development: Define, optimize, and implement the recoveries strategy, processes, policies, standards, and control frameworks to achieve best-in-class ambitions.
Operational Excellence: Own and drive all elements of operational excellence in partnership with an outsourced external debt collections agency panel, ensuring delivery against the required roll-rate, impairment, yield, and cost targets.
Innovation and Implementation: Collaborate with key stakeholders to research, evaluate, recommend, and implement new methods for Late Stage, Legal Book, PWOR, and Debt Counselling recoveries to maximize the commercial value extracted from default assets.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders, focusing on fostering a partnership philosophy with a specialized external debt collections agency panel to continuously extract mutual value.

Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant Finance Degree
Postgraduate degree (preferred)
5-10 years experience in a senior management position
10 years relevant operations/recoveries management experience with a proven track record in the Financial Services, including credit cards, personal loans, retail store cards, etc.
Proven experience in a senior recoveries or collections role within the financial services industry
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and achieve financial targets
Experience in managing external debt collection agencies and partnerships
