Hotel Manager - Franschhoek

Area/Location: Franschhoek, Cape Town

Role Overview:

The Hotel Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the hotel, including guest services, staff management, financial performance, and property maintenance. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the estate to coordinate activities and enhance guest experiences.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetics throughout the property.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Implement and monitor operational procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience and Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems effectively.
