BT Projects is looking for a deadline driven HR Generalist to join their team in Vanderbjlpark . Applicants should have appropriate experience with a medium to large Engineering or construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of every aspect of the employment process, focusing on salaried and wage employees. The best candidate will be deadline driven with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role reports to the Managing Directors of the company. This role will require some travel to various sites. Responsibilities: Administration. Completion of all New starter administration in line with HR Standards. Ensure payroll input is done accurately Responsible for capturing of hours and overtime Responsible for processing monthly and adhoc Payroll Regular maintenance of probation reviews – ensuring it is done within the sites. Ensure the integrity of employee data on SAGE 300, People Management Module, and ensure that information is captured correctly. Process various withdrawal claims (dismissal, retirements, resignations, UIF and death claims). Assist with investigations, compiling reports and coordinating payments of death claims. Recruitment & Selection Assist with recruitment and selection processes (drafting of adverts and placement, shortlisting, interview scheduling, contacting candidates for interviews, disseminating interview packs and organising venue for interviews, verification of information for the successful candidate). Participate in interviews for Interns, and technical vacancies Complete onboarding of new employees Coordinating induction sessions for new employees. Ensure proper administration of exits such as resignations, retirements, and dismissals. Employee Relations Guide management and provide assistance with disciplinary issues such as warnings, counselling sessions, grievances, etc. Schedule meetings with labour consultant to chair disciplinary enquiries. The attendance of CCMA cases. Trains management on the proper implementation of the disciplinary, grievance, poor performance and incapacity procedures. Renders management advice and interventions to promote a stable labour relations business environment. Ensure timeous and accurate completion of month end reports. Monthly completion of HR reports. Where necessary oversee and assist with compilation of ad hoc reports. Update and create job titles and codes and ensure the correct skill level is linked to the job title. Ensure that leave scheduling is done at the branches. Conduct audits on employee files and general information on an ad hoc basis. Compliance. Guide and ensure that the minimum annual increases are in line with legislation. Oversee adherence to relative legislative Act/agreement – LRA, BCEA, EEA. Ensure EE meetings are being conducted and the file is maintained at each branch. Consistently working on improving branches adherence to HR and Payroll deadlines. Completing of all duties in line with the HR - Standard Operating Manual. Cost control cognizance and not simply accepting at face value the authorisation to employ replacement notification. Minimum Requirements Matric certificate / Equivalent At least 3- 5 years' HR related experience, preferably in construction/engineering/technical environment. National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or related field Valid South African driver's license. Matric No Criminal Record Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of the various labour law acts. Expert knowledge of the Bargaining council collective agreements and CCMA Processes Problem solving skills Attention to detail Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to be discreet with sensitive information. Apply Now
