KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- To fully understand all customers needs and requirements
- Executing accurate entry of orders as per customer requirements
- Ensure that quotations and the expediting of these are followed up on an on-going basis
- Meet monthly budgets
- Constant liaison with all internal departments: Production, Quality, Expediting and Despatch
- Keeping the Team at all times informed of any potential problems and or risk that might affect supply to customer
- Handling customer queries, pertaining rejections and follow through with relevant action required
- Assisting with stocktake, recons and Adjustments
- Assisting with the issuing of Stock on Hand (SOH) reports and placing of orders
- Cold calling and weekly report on calls
- Problem solving
- To fulfil any other functions required by management within the scope of the position

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Matric / grade 12 qualification essential
- Tertiary education in the technical field would be a definite advantage
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven sales history in Merchanting. Speciality steel and Automotive sales experience will be an added advantage
- SAP will be an advantage
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings and the technical implications thereof would be a definite advantage
- Must have sound working knowledge on MS Office and email
- Must be able to apply their sales ability as well as their technical ability
- Able to expedite and update the customer at all times
- Must be self-disciplined and target driven
- High technical communication/negotiation ability
- Good reporting abilities both verbal and written
- Must have excellent people skills
