The Stores division within Penbro Kelnick Pty Ltd in Hermanstad, Pretoria West, has a position for an Inventory Controller Supervisor. Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team. Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure inventory accuracy. Supervise and control inbound and outbound logistics. Organize, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals including daily cycle checks. Introduce and maintain visual management system. Identify errors and eliminate root cause using suitable countermeasures Ensure security of stores environment and maintain access control. Ensure 5s housekeeping standards are always maintained. Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the inventory management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy. Ensure vehicle/equipment checklists are diligently completed and acted on. Stock accuracy (98-100%). 5's (no findings on self-audit). Safety (zero injuries or safety findings). Kaizen activity (1 per month). Qualifications NQF 4-6 Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain Management or in relevant field. Five (5) years' experience in Procurement, Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing stores environment. Experience in the technical and/or manufacturing environment would be advantageous. Relevant training, certificates and experience will be considered. Skills And Knowledge Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems (Orders, lead times, non-conformance reporting, requestor engagement etc.) Strong negotiating skills in the purchasing environment. Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft -Word, Outlook, Excel, SAGE will be an advantage) Familiarity with accounting concepts and arithmetic abilities to perform accurate calculations. Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure of supply chain impacts the manufacture and customer order fulfilment. Attention to cost control (quote assessment, etc.) Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions. Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
