Our client in Johannesburg is looking to employ a Stores Controller to join their team.

Requirements:

A diploma or degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field would be advantageous.
Proven experience as a stores controller, inventory manager, or similar role.
Experience in the aviation or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems and best practices.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
High level of integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply.
Conduct regular stock takes and audits to maintain accuracy.
Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain departments for timely replenishment.
Monitor and manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
Supervise receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.
Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions for efficiency.
Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management.
Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
