Reference: DBN003598-RC-1 A leading pharmaceutical company has a position available for a Key Account Manager in their Consumer Division. The main purpose of this role will be to establish new business and listing development (S0 & Non-Scheduled Front shop). Establish relationships with key customers, to identify and scope new market development within the responsible accounts and to drive listing and distribution gain. Responsibilities: Establish first-time listings and infill into key customers (this will require scope work i.e. determining the buyers in category etc). Stock management and merchandising: Analyse sales data and market trends to forecast correct stock holding at wholesalers and track stock movement. Ensure stock is correctly merchandised at store level. Tactic & Strategic development: drive run rate on new listings with distribution gain strategies. Inform the rest of the commercial team on opportunities and tools to drive first-time listings and category expansion. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients. Act as the primary point of contact for these clients, understanding their needs. Account Planning: Develop strategic account plans that outline objectives, strategies, and tactics for achieving new product launch Nett sales plans. Collaborate with internal teams to align account plans with overall business goals. Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing issues and concerns promptly and effectively. Serve as an advocate for clients within the organization to ensure their needs are met. Negotiation and Trading Terms Management: Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements with key clients. Ensure contracts are accurately documented and executed, and that both parties adhere to their obligations. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to coordinate efforts and deliver integrated solutions to key accounts. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to key account relationships, such as competitive threats, changes in market conditions, or shifts in client priorities. Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand business with existing and new key accounts. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, or business administration. Proven experience in key account management, preferably in a similar industry (Pharma, Health/Nutraceuticals) – Front shop basket focus. Experience in Emerging/Informal trade will be advantageous i.e. Masscash ,Massmart, Jumbo , Cash & Carry etc. May be required to work overtime. Driver's license and own motor vehicle. The role holder will travel 90% of their time on a mixture of planned and ad-hoc business travel. May be required to travel to national meetings where necessary.
