Area/Location: Franschhoek, Cape Town Role Overview: The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the estate, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and grounds are in excellent condition. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks, coordinate with various departments, and lead a team of maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure efficient operation of the estate.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Coordinate and supervise a team of maintenance workers, providing guidance and support.
- Manage and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities do not disrupt estate operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment servicing.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors.
Experience and Requirements:- Matric
- Proven experience in maintenance coordination or a similar role, preferably within a hospitality setting.
- English literacy
- Good health
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment, and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
