Maintenance Fitter - Johannesburg
- To provide maintenance and engineering services ensuring plant and equipment availability according to recognised technical requirements and standards.
- Dismantle and repair faulty components according to technical specifications.
- Make use of hand and power tools to apply sound engineering techniques.
- Perform Mechanical tasks
- Maintaining plant machinery to ensure availability and reliability
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on machinery
- Attending breakdowns
- Installation of pump, gearboxes, Valves, couplings and machine drives and other machinery
- Provide feedback and documentation of all completed jobs and work in progress
- Ensure compliance to Health and Safety in the work environment
- Fault finding on pneumatical and hydraulic circuits
- Attending to standby and ensuring machines are available
- Fill in daily timesheet
- Interact with the plant manager daily regarding breakdowns and plant improvements
- Own Tools Artisan to Ensure that he is own Tools on site available to carry out work and they should be in good condition.
- Maintain Conveyor Systems
- Maintain dynamic seals in machines and equipment.
- Maintain bearings / Pumps/ Direct Drives in machines and equipment.
- Maintenance on pumps
- Perform welding / joining of metals.
- Maintain pneumatic systems.
- Produce components using lathes.
- Produce components using milling machines.
- Select, use, and Maintain engineering measuring equipment.
- Read, interpret, and produce basic engineering drawings.
- Structured and detail oriented with the ability to follow tasks through to completion; Self-starter has the ability to work unsupervised and manage own time and activities Apply Now
