Maintenance Manager (Millwright) Location: Linbro Park Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager (Millwright) to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the optimal functioning of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in millwrighting, coupled with proven managerial skills to oversee our maintenance operations effectively. Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and efficiency of machinery and equipment. Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Manage and prioritize maintenance projects, including scheduling and allocating resources effectively. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and hydraulic systems. Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team. Monitor equipment performance through regular inspections and analysis of maintenance data to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and manage the department budget, controlling costs and expenditures related to maintenance activities. Evaluate the performance of maintenance staff, provide training and development opportunities, and conduct performance reviews. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, Millwright, or similar role in an industrial setting, preferably in Food manufacturing or production. Millwright Trade certification or equivalent trade certification required. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance issues. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices related to Food Safety Standards. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training or certifications in millwrighting, mechanical engineering, or related fields preferred.
