Bonpak South Africa is seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives. General Responsibilities: Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Lead and coordinate quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement. Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and communicate quality metrics and goals. Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance quality awareness and ensure adherence to established QA processes. Manage documentation related to quality assurance activities, including reports, certifications, and audits. Quality Responsibilities Quality Management Systems (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001). Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of QMS. Conduct internal audits and manage external audits. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance process efficiency. Oversee corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues. Compliance: Ensure products and services meet regulatory and customer requirements. Maintain and review quality documentation, including policies and procedures. Training and Support: Provide training to employees on quality standards and procedures. Support teams in quality-related issues and initiatives. Environmental Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations (e.g., EPA standards). Monitor and report on environmental impact and performance. Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement environmental management strategies (e.g., waste reduction, energy efficiency). Promote sustainability practices within the organization. Environmental Audits: Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections. Address and rectify any environmental non-compliance issues. Reporting: Prepare environmental reports and documentation for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders. Safety Responsibilities Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety programs and procedures. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards). Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. Incident Management: Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Maintain incident records and ensure follow-up actions are completed. Training and Awareness: Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees. Ensure that safety practices are understood and adhered to across the organization. Health Responsibilities Health Programs: Develop and implement health and wellness programs for employees. Promote a healthy work environment and support occupational health initiatives. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health-related regulations and standards. Address any health-related issues and concerns in the workplace. Health Assessments: Monitor and evaluate the health risks and conditions in the workplace. Manage health assessments and screenings as needed. Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and training to prepare employees for health emergencies. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in [1. Degree/ Diploma/ Advance Diploma specifically focused on quality assurance or quality management, 2. Degree/ Diploma/ Advance Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Environmental Science ] or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or in a similar role within Package Industry. Thorough knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
