Our Mining Client with various operations based all over South Africa is currently seeking the proffesional services of a Managing Director. The individual will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and management of the company. Responsible to ensure the company meets its financial, operational, and strategic goals while maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance and compliance. Financial Oversight: • Develop annual budgets and forecasts. • Monitor financial performance against budgets and take corrective actions as necessary. • Ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization. Business Development: • Identify and explore new business opportunities and markets. • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors. • Lead negotiations and close major business deals. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company. • Maintain effective communication with the board of directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders. • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public forums. Operational Management: • Oversee daily operations of the company across all departments. • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. • Implement best practices to enhance productivity and performance. Strategic Leadership and Team Development: • Develop and implement the company's strategic vision and mission. • Drive the formulation and execution of long-term business strategies and plans. • Ensure the alignment of strategic objectives with organizational goals. • Build and maintain a high-performing leadership team. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree (advantagous) Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience, preferably within the Mining or engineering sectors. Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a business. Strong strategic planning and business development skills. Excellent financial acumen and understanding of corporate finance. Superior leadership and team-building capabilities. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. High degree of integrity and ethical standards Apply Now
