We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Materials Controller to join our client's dynamic team at their converting FMCG plant. As a Materials Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of materials planning, procurement, and inventory control within their fast-paced manufacturing environment. - Develop and implement materials planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet production requirements. - Coordinate with suppliers and procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective material procurement. - Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify potential risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and quality control to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production flow. - Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory records. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements in materials management. - Communicate with stakeholders to provide regular updates on material availability, lead times, and any potential issues. - Evaluate supplier performance and establish strong relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials. - Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations in materials management. Matric Diploma in Supply Chain Syspro and WMS experience - Proven experience as a Materials Controller or in a similar role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment. - In-depth knowledge of materials planning, procurement, and inventory control principles and practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and suppliers. - Proficient in using inventory management software and systems. - Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Detail-oriented and organized with a high level of accuracy in maintaining inventory records. - Familiarity with safety regulations and practices within a manufacturing setting R240 000 CTC to R300 000 CTC per annum based on experience and qualifications
