We are seeking a dependable, physcially fit and energetic applicant to potentially join the Client's team. The applicant's duties will include but are not limited to the below : Experience Minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Breakdown and Planned Maintenance on the following plant, machinery and equipment: Calendars, mixers, hammer mills, guillotines, printing machines or similar equipment. Fans, pumps, conveyors, motors and gearboxes. Transmission equipment such as, gears, couplings, bearings and shafts, clutches, brakes, chains and sprockets, v-belts, timing belts and rotary unions. Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as power packs, valve blocks, cylinders and control levers and buttons. Machine shop equipment such as; Lathes, power saws, milling machines, boring mills, surface grinders, various types of hydraulic presses, CNC cutting machines and mechanical lifting equipment. Welding equipment – Arc welders (all types) CO2 welders and TIG & MIG welders Services equipment such as chillers, dust extraction, boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers and standby generators. Good knowledge and experience of Plant and Machinery - Mechanical Safety and Compliance. Knowledge about various types of switchgear – high and low voltage. Good knowledge of drives and variable speed motors. Some experience in mechanical construction work. Especially in plant rebuilds or design. Can read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings Certified Installation electrician will be advantageous. Theoretical knowledge Good knowledge of ISO 18000 and ISO 14001 systems. Knowledge of the OSHACT. Relates this to Safety in the workplace and on Plant and Machinery. Isolation and locking out/tagging out of machines and other mechanical sources of energy. Familiarity of work permits and procedures related to dangerous work. Is familiar with and follows Safe Work Procedures in his / her daily activities Can perform risk assessments before commencing with job tasks and can do so for Contractors or Service Providers. Is conversant with good housekeeping and hygiene standards and practices in the workplace. Keep Mandatory Safety registers up to date and well maintained according to legal compliance. Applicants must have the below: Matric certificate Clear copy of ID Highest tertiary qualification or equivalent Trade Test certificate (must be Red Seal) 10 years experience working strictly as a Millwright Artisan Able to work shifts (night or day) and overtime, only if required by company Good communication skills (verbal or written) Good computer skills (able to use : Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) Good report writting skills In good physical health Good hand & eye co-ordination skills Computer Skills Operate a computer Know the difference between software and hardware. Basic use Microsoft office tools. (Word, Excel and Power point) Auto-cad or any drawing package will be advantageous. Soft skills Can function well in a work team. Good communication and listening skills Is passionate about work in the engineering field and is motivated to research his/her own information. Shows maturity in working independently with little supervision. Is self-motivated to embark on self-learning whilst in the care of the company. Keeps to a time schedule diligently Can liaise with suppliers and contractors in an assertive and ethical manner. Is committed to work overtime and extra-ordinary hours when the business requires this. Adheres to the company code of conduct and policies at all times. Follow instructions and perform tasks accurately and according to the set-out maintenance plans Be punctual at all times (Good timekeeping) Is driven to service the customer to the best of his / her abilities (Production, Facilities and Support departments) The successful applicant will receive renumeration/ Salary - R200-R210-00/ per hour Apply Now
