A great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Global Mining client based in KZN managing projects that will maximize the value in the production of Safe, Quality, Low-cost Sustainable Tons (SQLCST). Manage design consultants to ensure optimal design and cost Key point of contact for the Project Owner who is accountable for delivery of the projected benefits Submit the project for gate approval with all required information in accordance with the Innovation and Investment and Management of Change processes Ensure relevant engineering/regulatory standards and are adhered to and changes are signed off by the Asset Improvement Engineers. Manage and participate in the design and planning phases of the project. Prepare and effectively administer the budgets with the Project Managers for projects and identify opportunities for reducing costs where possible. Work with Project managers to optimise scopes of works and ensure gate approval documentation is of a high quality. Manage and ensure integration between the various technology capabilities involved in project execution and delivery. Manage risk by assessing liabilities, reporting and monitoring standards, as well as attending to rehabilitation / environmental problems in line with company standards. Actively pursue the exchange and preservation of information between operations and individuals to facilitate effective knowledge management according to organisational objectives. Manage stakeholders by ensuring services are delivered according to service level agreements. Grade 12/ Standard 10. B Eng./ B-Tech, NQF Level 7 in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering. Qualification in Project Management, NQF Level 7. Driver's License Code 8. Minimum 5 years' experience Engineering and Project operations. Minimum 3 years' Project Engineering experience.
