Our client, a national franchise operating multiple branches and three major factories throughout South Africa, is seeking to employ a dynamic National Operations Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate must possess a robust background in manufacturing or production and be willing to travel. The primary responsibility of the National Operations Manager is to implement effective processes and procedures across the organisation. This includes formulating strategies, enhancing performance, procuring resources, and ensuring compliance. The role entails mentoring team members, enhancing customer service quality, and promoting best practices at all levels. Ultimately, the National Operations Manager is entrusted with ensuring the factories maintain compliance, efficiency, and profitability. Key duties include: Compiling and implementing documented Standard Operating Procedures Overseeing operations across three factories Enhancing operational systems and processes Managing inventory and efficiency Ensuring legal compliance Setting strategic objectives Analysing financial data Managing budgets Maintaining quality controls Supervising staff Optimising customer service quality The National Operations Manager will report to top management and directly oversee operational staff. Degree/Diploma in Business, Operations Management, or a related field 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing or a related area Minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete product manufacturing Proven track record as an Operations Manager or in a similar role Proficiency in organisational effectiveness and operations management Experience in budgeting and forecasting Knowledge of business and financial principles Strong communication skills Background in manufacturing or production Familiarity with various industry concepts, practices, and procedures Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve goals with extensive experience and judgment Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities Understanding of labour legislation and health & safety procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge of organisational management systems, including policies and procedures across financial, administrative, operational, and HR domains Must be willing to travel Market Related Apply Now
