Skills are what give Companies the competitive edge Job Title: Electrician Location: Port Elizabeth Salary: Market Related Job Type: Permanent Sectors: Manufacturing Automotive Reference: 2027788 Vacancy Details Qualifications / Requirements: Certified Electrician (Trade Tested) with proven industrial maintenance experience and must have thorough knowledge in all aspects of the Trade Have at least 3 years’ experience in the automotive/related industry Have a N3 or Mechatronics Level 4 Effectively maintain all plant machinery and equipment in a Plant Engineering environment Have substation experience (Transformers, Switchgear, Protection etc) Highly successful in tracing faults, problem solving and be fully conversant in electrical drawings Able to work well under pressure and without supervision Able to work independently, with a high degree of responsibility, skill and knowledge Be computer literate Have a good attendance record Have a valid Driver’s License Prepared to undergo an assessment Wireman’s License will be advantageous Key Performance Areas: Electrical Maintenance of Infrastructure across all Production and Support areas Undertake all general electrical maintenance functions in Support Departments, Truck and Bus, Shipping Yard etc Must be able to complete all maintenance schedules allocated timeously Switching, maintenance and repair of: Medium Voltage switchgear and Isolators (11Kv) Compressors, Pumps and Cooling Towers Hoists and Lifting Equipment UPS’s, Generators and Busducts HVAC Equipment Automated Electrical Control systems and Motors General and Security Lighting Manage replacement, upgrade and refurbishment projects to successful completion Must adhere to plant safety and environmental practice Required Skills: Electrical Maintenance Certified Electrician Tracing Faults.
