The main purpose is to oversee the day-to-day operations within the telecommunications and connectivity sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry. Relevant qualification in operations management/project management OR a related field is preferred. Min. 5 years' experience in management/operations, and leadership roles within the telecommunications or connectivity industry. TELCO/Connectivity industry ESSENTIAL Understanding of general finance and budgeting principles. Valid license plus own reliabe transport. Characteristics: Proven ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees. Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. Assertive and strong personality with the ability to lead and inspire teams. Hardworking, honest, reliable, driven, focused, and able to work well under pressure. Business-minded with a strategic outlook Key Responsibilities: Technical Department Management: Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the technical department, ensuring optimal performance and service delivery. Collaborate closely with the Technical Director and Technical Managers to align technical operations with overall business objectives. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Assist in developing, updating, and implementing SOPs to ensure efficient and effective operations within the technical team. Ensure adherence to SOPs across all operational functions, fostering consistency and quality. Customer Service and Installation Oversight: Oversee the effective functioning of customer service, installations, and warehouse operations, ensuring high service standards and operational efficiency. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by addressing issues and complaints promptly and effectively. Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and regularly review operational policies and procedures to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. Identify and address operational problems and opportunities, implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement. Team Leadership and Support: Provide operational support and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Assist in employee appraisals, promotions, compensation, and terminations based on performance reviews. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss issues, concerns, updates, and opportunities for improvement. Recruitment and Training: Assist in interviewing, and training candidates to build a skilled and effective technical service team. Support the continuous development of team members through training and professional development opportunities. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and clear documentation for operational procedures and activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Team Development and Improvement: Improve and build upon the current technical service team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Identify areas for team development and implement strategies to enhance skills and performance.
