Payroll Administrator/Accounts
Responsibilities:- End to end processing of company payroll for wage staff.
- Calculate bonuses and allowances.
- Some accounting functions such as creditors.
- Collate payroll information, process, produce reports and file accordingly.
- Prepare monthly summaries of payments and deductions.
- Prepare and remit monthly contributions.
- Prepare all payroll related reports for the manager.
- Input new employees and terminations on the system, as well as changes to information.
- Handling staff queries regarding payroll.
- Run month end processes.
- Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.
- Work closely with Human resources.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Year-end processing and reconciliation including payment summaries.
- Ad hoc HR and payroll matters.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct manager.
- Complete monthly SITE, PAYE, medical aid, industrial council, union returns.
- EMP501 calculations and submissions on e-filing.
Qualification and skills required:- Grade 12
- 2 5 years experience in payroll.
- Payroll qualification.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential.
- Sage Pastel payroll is a must.
- Strong administration and organizational skills.
- Ability to work without supervision, under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Industry knowledge of MEIBC Main Agreement.
