Payroll / HR Administrator - Johannesburg

Our client is looking for a Payroll/ HR Administrator to join their Head of Office Team based in Midrand. To provide month to month payroll and HR administrative support to the Human Resource Department.

Skills & Qualifications

· Grade 12, Matric

· HR Qualification advantageous

· 3 to 5 years Payroll and HR Admin experience

· Intermediate to advance knowledge of Peopleware, Sage 300 people or VIP payroll systems

· Fully computer literate in MS office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail

· Good working knowledge of the SA Labour legislation, EE and Skills Development.

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills

· Strong planning skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to multitask

· Numerical Skills

· Strong administrative skills

· Advanced computer skills

· Ability to work under pressure

Payroll Functions

· Ensure accurate collation of payroll data, New Engagements, Terminations, Overtime, Increase and leave schedules.

· Capturing payroll data.

· Attend payroll queries from staff and management.

· Payroll month end general ledger reconciliation reports, for medical aid, provident fund, union.

· Capturing all manual leave on Peopleware payroll system, update, and reporting.

· Ensuring monthly PAYE (EMP201) returns accurate and correct.

· Good understanding of Payroll tax legislation and tax year end process for IRP5 update and distribution of IRP5’s.

· Payroll Reports.

HR Administration:

· Maintain and update personnel records

· Update internal databases (e.g. record all types of leave)

· Prepare HR documents, for employment contracts, transfer letters, promotion letters

· Coordinate onboarding process.

· Liaise with external service providers, medical aids, provident fund insurance, and ensure legal compliance.

Coordinate recruitment.

· Any other Ad-hoc support to the HR team.

· Compile BBBEE file for verification.

· Coordinate EE committee meetings.

· Update training and development database.

· Update and submit States SA information.
