We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and customer-centric individual to join our Production Team at Amaro Foods. To direct the overall management of the business unit, ensuring that the entire supply chain process delivers the necessary results in line with strategic company objectives. Develop and implement business plans for the assigned unit, in alignment with the company's strategy • Oversee the production responsibility regarding throughput calculations, plant availability and capacity utilization • Provide the correct information, estimating and analyzing for overheads, prime and labour cost of the unit • Identify and propose the need for plant or machinery upgrading via a written CAPEX application form. If accepted, plan, coordinate and monitor the project via project management consultants or internal support from Group Maintenance Manager, Group Operations manager, CEO or Libstar project management team • Compile annual budgets in line with strategic objectives • Achieve or exceed budgeted targets for revenue, profitability, and growth • Quarterly submission of agreed upon forecast volumes and expenditure • Annual review of costing information (BOMS / Ingredient costs) • Monthly analysis and deviation escalation • Engage regularly with KAM/ NPD Manager regarding product sales, market forecast, future strategies and new products • Lead production outputs ensuring delivery in line with identified specifications • Responsible for developing and implementing operational systems and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient running of the manufacturing unit • Manage and optimize costs and efficiencies • Management of CPA to ensure launch date is met • Ensure effective management of monetary, personnel and equipment resources • Ensure support is provided for the NPD process • Ensure all production jobs are accurately and timeously managed through the available job management and reporting systems • Proactively identify areas of improvement by analyzing and interpreting variance and yield figure • Engage with the Group Procurement manager and assistant, to ensure the necessary raw and packaged materials are available to effectively attain the requirements of the production plan • Liaise directly and indirectly with suppliers when required, to maintain the unit as a functional business • Liaise with procurement to ensure correct purchasing protocols are adhered to • Ensure strict adherence to stock count procedure • Ensure correct processes are maintained throughout the unit • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performance team, delegating tasks and authority as appropriate • Ensure that the people management approach is within the governing regulations and Amaro Foods code of ethics and code of conduct • Ensure that all team members are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures • Build a strong business culture • Maintain updated organogram to align with seasonality, new and discontinued products • Foster an environment of open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect • Ensure that all training, education and development needs are identified and relayed to the HC department to ensure an educated and skilled workforce • Complete and update skills matrixes for all departments/personnel • Make personnel and time available for required training • Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements • Ensure compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest control • Participate in personal hygiene checks • Ensure compliance to all food safety legislation and regulations, organizational food safety management system requirements • Relevant Degree or Diploma • Understanding of food manufacturing and production • Experience leading highly efficient teams with proven track records in business • Ability to manage a dynamic business with multidisciplinary teams
