An opportunity for an experienced PROCESS ENGINEER (Chem Eng. BSc / B.Tech) is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the incumbent will be required to monitor, analyse, optimise and give feedback on the processes in the Production Department with a view of continual improvement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyse data of process
Prepare necessary statistical reports required of production
Highlight anomalies in reports
Interpret data for optimisation of process
Evaluate heat balances
Evaluate performance of mills
Optimising grinding aid dosage
Evaluating cost benefit of grinding aids
Responsible to implement the process schedules
Implement AFRM program together with production team
Generate report on findings during shutdowns
Optimising processes
Control of process in line with quality specifications

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Grade 12 (Matric)
BSc or B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification
2 years work experience in process engineering and understanding of operational activities
Methodical, systematic, with the ability to be self-managed and results driven
