We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team in Durban . Job Purpose: This role is responsible for but not limited to the procurement of products, goods and services for use in the business, by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them and negotiating favourable pricing, payment terms and terms of supply. Maintain positive supplier relations, evaluate supply options and following approval work flow for purchases. Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies, aligned with the organisations goals, this includes determining sourcing channels, identifying reliable suppliers, and establishing contracts and agreements. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability. Negotiate supply agreements and maintain a positive working relationship to ensure steady supply. Sourcing and Purchasing: Stay updated on industry trends to identify new suppliers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, forecast demand and create purchase orders accordingly. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels together with internal stakeholders to avoid stock shortages or excessive stock holding. Cost Management: Analyse pricing trends and negotiate favourable terms and implement cost saving initiatives. Conduct regular cost and supplier reviews to identify cost reductions and improvements. Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts and documentations to support audits and historical data. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as operations, finance and production to align procurement activities with the overall business objective – collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess their stock requirements etc. to provide guidance and resolve any issues Adherence to health and safety regulations - Employees are required to work in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy facility General financial administrative activities Grade: 12 Certificate / Diploma / Degree: Relevant tertiary qualification Years' Experience: 3-5 years' experience in a similar position Computer Literacy & level: Proficient in using accounting software and tools / ERM - Sap System advantageous and Microsoft Office skills.
