Reference: JHB000039-JVDW-1 We are looking for a Product Development Engineer for the Pretoria East area. Requirements: B.Eng - Mechanical Engineering degree. Knowledge and experience in quality system TS and ISO requirements. Experience with Production, Tooling, R&D, Industrialisation, PPAP (Project Part Approval Process). Technical drawings and CAD (Solidworks, or Catia V5) experience. MS Office, MS Access, MS Visio, SQL programming, Syspro ERP System. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent presentation skills Excellent organisational and administrative skills. Project Management (including planning and deadline driven). Analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail skills Customer relationship building Ability to work effectively in a team and across different levels Experience: Minimum 0 - 5 years experience in Manufacturing / Automotive industry. Experience with Production, Tooling, R&D, Industrialisation, PPAP Duties Include: Assist with management and monitoring of the product development process from concept development, prototyping, testing and commercialisation Develop Tooling line-up information to feed into costing and Project Team. Create comprehensive Tooling Plan and track timeline and suppliers. Commission and perform try-outs with tool / jig / checking guages / welding jigs Implement industrialisation - factory optimisation, cycle times, floor layouts, ergonomics, etc., for production. Secure raw materials pipeline and send COCs and data to Product Quality Create and maintain maintenance standards and tool specifications Liaise and communicate with client on all Project and Engineering related requirements and concerns Assist with New Project Part Approval Process (PPAP). Review tool design and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve ROI Ensure modifications achieve 100% PIST and master samples are provided. Investigate, procure, and implement new technologies. R25 000 - R27 000 - Monthly
