CLIENT in the AEROSPACE and AVIATION MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY requires the services of a PRODUCTION ENGINEER at their offices in the WESTERN CAPE as soon as possible. CV'S SHOULD BE IN WORD FORMAT TOGETHER WITH ID, QUALIFICATIONS, DRIVER'S LICENSE AND LATEST PAYSLIP 1. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following but is not limited to: Employee will work as a Production Engineer as part of the Hardware team. Scope of work will include: 1.1. Act as a key liaison between suppliers and developers, facilitating effective communication on critical issues including but not limited to engineering design changes; 1.2. Play a key role in Development / R&D procurement-related activities; 1.3. Produce and update cost estimates for development activities to contribute to the company's budgeting process; 1.4. Provide support for product owners to keep data packs updated; 1.5. Create and maintain packaging artifacts as required; 1.6. Review procedure documents from a production perspective and actively contribute to their improvement and optimization; 1.7. Develop and execute verification procedures, including Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Hardware Test Procedures (HTP) and Qualification Test Procedures (QTP); 1.8. Perform minor support roles within the company, as required. 2. REQUIREMENTS: 2.1. Minimum Qualifications: 2.1.1. BTech Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electronic Engineering or related disciplines. 2.2. Required Skills and Experience: 2.2.1. Industry experience in an electro-mechanical production environment; and 2.2.2. Familiarity with an industry-standard ERP, ideally Odoo. 2.3. Recommended Skills and Experience: 2.3.1. 2-3 years' experience in an electronic assembly production environment; 2.3.2. Familiarity with production procedures and documentation2.3.3. Knowledge of verification procedures (ATP, HTP, QTP) is desirable; and 2.3.4. Mechanical design skills and experience with packaging artifacts are advantageous. 2.4. General Skills 2.4.1. Ability to learn fast and absorb new information quickly; 2.4.2. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate on large projects; 2.4.3. Ability to work independently; 2.4.4. Strong problem-solving skills; and 2.4.5. High standard of communication skills in English (both verbal and written). SALARY HIGHLY NEGOTIABLE
