Reference: CPT000625-DB-1 A highly renowned engineering establishment is looking for an exceptional and passionate individual to join their team as a Production Engineer . R35 000 pm | On Site | Northern Suburbs, CPT | Perm 1. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following but is not limited to: Employee will work as a Production Engineer as part of the Hardware team. Scope of work will include: Act as a key liaison between suppliers and developers, facilitating effective communication on critical issues including but not limited to engineering design changes; Play a key role in Development / R&D procurement-related activities; Produce and update cost estimates for development activities to contribute to the company's budgeting process; Provide support for product owners to keep data packs updated; Create and maintain packaging artifacts as required; Review procedure documents from a production perspective and actively contribute to their improvement and optimization; Develop and execute verification procedures, including Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Hardware Test Procedures (HTP) and Qualification Test Procedures (QTP); Perform minor support roles within the company, as required. 2. REQUIREMENTS: BTech Degree / Advanced Diploma in Electronic Engineering or related disciplines. Industry experience in an electro-mechanical production environment; and Familiarity with an industry-standard ERP, ideally Odoo. Recommended Skills and Experience: 2-3 years' experience in an electronic assembly production environment; Familiarity with production procedures and documentation; Knowledge of verification procedures (ATP, HTP, QTP) is desirable; Mechanical design skills and experience with packaging artifacts are advantageous; Ability to learn fast and absorb new information quickly; Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate on large projects; Ability to work independently; Strong problem-solving skills; and High standard of communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
